ManageSoft customer Lend Lease VP honored as a 2005 premier 100 IT leader by IDG’s Computerworld

Computerworld Recognizes Lend Lease VP of Global Systems and Services John Miles for His Creativity and Business Savvy

January 18, 2005 Boston, MA, USA

ManageSoft today announced that John Miles, VP, Global Systems and Services, of Lend Lease Corporation Limited (ASX: LLC), has been recognized by IDG’s Computerworld, the “Voice of IT Management” as one of the business world’s Premier 100 IT Leaders. The award honors executives who show exemplary technology leadership in resolving business problems, and highlights the type of innovation found in project highRISE, Lend Lease’s ambitious IT infrastructure redesign initiative led by Miles. As part of project highRISE, Lend Lease uses ManageSoft dynamic software management solutions to transform PC’s across its distributed worldwide network into self-healing devices that streamline IT service support and desktop software delivery, as well as protect the company against the crippling effects of computer viruses and worms.

Honorees, including John Miles, were named and profiled in the January 3 issue of Computerworld and will be honored again at Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference.

Miles was selected from nearly 600 nominees, who were measured against Computerworld’s IT Leadership Index, a set of characteristics that describes executives who guide the effective use of IT in their organizations, and evaluated by the editors and an external panel of outside judges.

“Our Premier 100 list honors those who have kept fighting despite the many obstacles that technology has thrown at them this year,” said Don Tennant, editor in chief of Computerworld. “This group of men and women have proven themselves through all facets of business, including some of the toughest challenges, such as cultural hurdles, language barriers, corporate politics and internal/external communication. They think out of the box and do not cower away from difficult projects; rather, they embrace the struggle while foreseeing the opportunities it can bring in the future.”

“We are pleased to have played a role in support of John Miles’ rise to the top as an IT Leader,” said Walter Elliot, CEO for ManageSoft. “As the winner of this award, John Miles once again exemplifies how ManageSoft technology helps allow organizations to grow and achieve their business objectives. This is the third major IT industry recognition that Lend Lease has received over the last few months, further demonstrating the success of IT projects employing a ManageSoft solution.”

The complete list of the 6th annual Premier 100 IT Leaders can be found in the January 3, 2005 issue of Computerworld and online at www.computerworld.com/p1002005. The issue includes several feature articles summarizing the challenges IT Leaders expect to face in the coming year, including motivating staff, avoiding project pitfalls, shoring up network security and preparing for the rebound.
