ManageSoft achieves Ready for IBM Tivoli software validation

Seamless integration results in streamlined IT management and significant cost savings

January 24, 2005 Boston, MA, USA

ManageSoft today announced that its client-centric dynamic software management solutions received Ready for IBM Tivoli software validation through IBM’s Orchestration and Provisioning Automation Library (OPAL) initiative to help organizations automate their IT environments.

Working with IBM, ManageSoft has delivered a pre-built solution of workflows and tools to provide joint clients with the ability to help automate orchestration and provisioning on existing servers, minimizing implementation time and achieving a faster return on investment. By eliminating redundant IT tasks with pre-built workflows, IT organizations can maximize resource utilization while reducing costs and complexity. This new solution is for use with IBM Tivoli Orchestrator Version 2.1.0.

“By participating in our OPAL initiative and achieving a Ready for IBM Tivoli software validation, ManageSoft joins IBM in our efforts to help customers reduce costs, streamline IT operations and ultimately transform into on demand businesses,” said Lucian Bifano, vice president, business development, IBM Tivoli software.

IBM Tivoli orchestration and provisioning software helps clients manage distributed environments more efficiently. With ManageSoft dynamic software management solutions, joint clients can automatically deploy, update and manage software and security patches for desktops, servers and mobile devices. By streamlining IT management, clients decrease resource utilization and response time, and can often reduce days of manual processes to hours of automated execution.

“Our Ready for IBM Tivoli validation demonstrates our growing partnership with IBM, and reinforces the tight integration and strong symmetry between our solutions,” said Walter Elliot, CEO of ManageSoft. “Equally important, it allows us to expand services to IBM clients and provides us with an opportunity to expand our services into a new market.”
